Andreas Tschopp (tb)

Andreas Tschopp schliesst 2003 sein Studium an der Hochschule für Musik Basel, Abteilung Jazz bei Adrian Mears ab. Er ist als Posaunist auf den Bühnen im In- und Ausland unterwegs. Er spielt eine breite Palette improvisierter und geschriebener Musik in ganz unterschiedlichen musikalischen Konstellationen. Einen aktuellen Überblick gibts unter ?bands?.

Ausserdem ist Andreas Tschopp vielgefragter Freelancer und spielte unter anderem in Bob Brookmeyers New Art Orchestra, in der Bigband für Quincy Jones? 75. Geburtstagsfeier mit Stargästen wie Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, James Moody oder Al Jarreau, der generations Festivalband 2004 mit Kenny Werner, Dick Oatts und Gary Smulyan, mit Johannes Lauers ?Lauer Large? feat. Tyshawn Sorey sowie in kleineren Ensembles mit Leuten wie Nils Wogram, Hans Feigenwinter, Reto Suhner, Adi Pflugshaupt, Mats Spilmann, Colin Vallon, Dominik Egli, Heidi Happy, Patent Ochsner und vielen anderen mehr.

Er stand auf den Bühnen renommierter Festivals wie Northsea Jazzfestival, Jazzfestival Willisau, Montreux Jazzfestival, moers Festival, jazznojazz Zürich, Cully Jazz, jz Festival Shanghai, int. Festival for Music and Dance Bangkok uvm.

Sebastien Troendle (p)

«Je tiens dans mes mains un objet, si simple, que l'on voit tous les jours, partout, mais qui est porteur de rêves. Je tiens donc à en signaler l'importance pour quelqu'un qui commence avec un cd: une heure approximative de musique, chargée de quelque chose qui va petit à petit développer un chemin. Parce qu'il est jeune, il a toute une démarche à faire. En Argentine il y a un écrivain, Roberto Arlt, qui a dit grosso modo la chose suivante: le futur est à nous par conséquences de travail (c'est assez difficile à traduire). C'est-à-dire qu'il n'y a pas trop de secrets, pour chacun de nous, dans son domaine respectif, il y a l'amour, les connaissances de base à acquérir, mais avant tout un travail quotidien à faire. Avec ce que j'ai écouté et en faisant connaissance avec Sébastien Troendlé, je sais qu'il a un futur plus que riche. Je lui souhaite une longue vie dans la musique».

Andreas Tausch (g)

Born in 1984 in Austria. After finishing the Musikgymnasium at the BORG Innsbruck with classical double bass lessons at the Conservatory in Innsbruck he completed a 3-year course for Jazz- and Popularmusic for electric guitar there. From 2005 to 2007 he studied jazz-guitar at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Wolfgang Muthspiel and did workshops with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jorge Rossy, Adrian Mears etc. Among his main project "The Flow" he plays with Jean-Paul Brodbeck Group, Manu Delago, Georg Breinschmid, Daniel Mudrack H3, Adrian Mears, Philipp Nykrin, SK Invitational, HotchPotch, Lovely Rita, Tristan Schulze, etc. Since 2007 Andi Tausch has been living in Vienna.

Gilbert Trefzger (g)

(1996-2000) Gilbert Trefzger was born in 1974 from an egyptian mother and a swiss father. He started playing guitar at the age of nine. He studied guitar at the Jazz Departement of the Conservatory in Basel and in Paris. He is a diverse instrumentalist and covers many styles of music, playing guitar, steelguitar, aoud (arabic luth) and banjo. He is also a composer and is currently co-writing on the musical project OKOU with singer Tatiana Heintz. His versatility and creative approach has led him to work and play with different artists, collaborate on movie soundtracks and also write music for theatre and films. He lives in Basel, Berlin, Paris.
